We will only represent the best material handling equipment manufacturers that can provide the most innovative and professional material handling products, services, and system solutions.
The Cardinal Carryor Companies share common ownership and are strong teammates located under one roof. Cardinal Carryor's role is to provide lift truck, scrubber and other mobile material handling products, parts, service, and rental to our customers. The role of Cardinal Integrated Systems is to provide warehouse planning and material handling systems, allied equipment, and related services. These products include: automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, dock levelers, dock doors, modular offices, rack, shelving, and many others. Cardinal Integrated Systems also provides a full engineering and drafting department for design and build services along with project management. These services are all supported with factory-trained field technicians for 100% productivity and limited down time.
Cardinal Carryor, Inc. serves the entire Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana region with parts, sales and field service out of our facilities in Louisville and Bowling Green, KY. Cardinal Integrated Systems serves primarily Kentucky and Indiana, but often works in other states providing integrated solutions to customers.
Both companies often collaborate to provide unmatched expertise and service for our customers. This may be for a single project or a turnkey system that includes narrow aisle lift equipment, pallet rack and/or conveyors, just to name a few. These systems have ranged from very small to multi-million dollar systems which are integrated into house products and services with those from any different manufacturers.
Cardinal Carryor, Inc. began in 1947 as a distributor of woodworking machinery and scrap containers. By 1953, Cardinal Carryor evolved into a distributor of lift truck equipment and has subsequently served the Kentuckiana marketplace as the only authorized Clark forklift dealership since 1962.
Founder C. C. "Chet" Brumleve retired in 1977 and Ben Brumleve acquired the company from his father. Cardinal Carryor, Inc. became the authorized Crown Equipment distributor in 1983.
In 1984, Cardinal Carryor, Inc. purchased Scholtz Equipment and Sales Company in order to provide customers with a complete line of material handling equipment and services. In 2005, the name Scholtz Equipment was changed to Cardinal Integrated Systems in order to streamline marketing efforts and to be more descriptive.
In 2004, Ben Brumleve retired and The Cardinal Carryor Companies were acquired by his two sons, Mike and Doug Brumleve.
In 2005, The Cardinal Carryor Companies started operations in Bowling Green, KY, and leased a brand new facility in July, 2008.
Today, in addition to the Crown and Clark forklift lines, Cardinal Carryor, Inc. also represents Doosan lift trucks, Bendi and Drexel, Hoist heavy capacity lifts, Mariotti, Hawker industrial batteries and chargers, Advance and Kent floor cleaning equipment, Cushman/EZ-GO, Tiger Trucks, and Wesley International personnel and burden carriers, as well as other top lines. Cardinal Integrated Systems represents many top lines int he industry, including Remstar automated storage and retrieval systems, Starrco modular offices, and ACSI conveyor systems. Both companies are sales and service organizations and have a combined total of 50 service vehicles to cover primarily the central Kentucky and southern Indiana areas.
