Gravity conveyors are designed for level applications “push line” and for decline applications, using the natural force of gravity to propel the materials.
Gravity conveyors use rollers to move the items from one place to another. The rollers can come in different sizes and distances from each other to accommodate the transport of various material.
The most common gravity conveyors are skate wheel, expandable and full width:
Full Width Gravity Conveyor
A full width gravity conveyor uses the same principle as the skate-wheel. They are perfect for transporting items in a line or on a decline using the weight of the object and gravity to propel.
Full width conveyors are simply heavier duty than traditional skate-wheel. They have larger rollers and are fitted with precision bearings, making the conveyor more rugged and durable.
Skate Wheel Conveyors
Skate wheel conveyors are a gravity-powered, low cost way to transport lightweight items. This type of conveyor is good for uses in shipping/receiving applications, as well as when a temporary conveyor system is needed. They can be assembled almost anywhere, and don’t need to be attached to a powersource.
Expandable Conveyors
Expandable conveyors are a versatile and flexible alternative to installed conveyor systems. They create temporary conveyor solutions for loading docks and shipping areas. Expandable conveyors are portable and very easy to use – simply expand and curve the conveyor to fit the space you need.
Expandable conveyors come in light, medium, heavy and very heavy duty to accommodate a wide range of materials. Most also come with adjustable legs, making it easy to use the gravity flow.
